Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Tribes, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You must hold a valid motorcycle license or permit where required by law in your jurisdiction to participate in rides organized through the Service. Tribes does not verify licensing status.

You may only maintain one account. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.

Tribes is currently in private beta and may be described as launching soon. Features, availability, and functionality may change, be added, or be removed at any time without notice.

During beta, the Service may contain bugs, experience downtime, or operate with limited support. We appreciate your feedback at hello@tribes.zone.

Tribes is a platform that helps motorcycle riders discover and organize short rides in their area. Core features include discovering nearby rides ("Rips"), creating rides with meetup points, routes, and times, joining rides that match your riding style, in-ride chat, push notifications, Tribe-based community connections, rider verification through peer vouching, rider style filters, and reputation building through safe riding and engagement.

Tribes is a technology platform that facilitates connections between riders. We do not organize, supervise, or control rides, and we are not a transportation provider, tour operator, or safety authority.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and current information in your profile, including your name, riding preferences, and any other details you choose to share.

You must notify us promptly at hello@tribes.zone if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Motorcycle riding is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. By using Tribes to connect with other riders and participate in rides, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with motorcycle riding and in-person meetups, including risks arising from the actions or omissions of other riders, road conditions, weather, equipment failure, and traffic.

Tribes does not guarantee the safety, skill, licensing status, sobriety, or conduct of any rider. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether to join or host a ride and for your own safety decisions before, during, and after any ride.

You agree to ride responsibly, wear appropriate safety gear, comply with traffic laws, and never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Tribes offers optional rider verification through peer vouching by existing Tribe members. Verification is a community trust signal only.

Verification is not a background check, identity verification, safety certification, or endorsement by Tribes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of verification status or the conduct of any verified rider.

You agree not to use the Service to harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against others; post false, misleading, or impersonating content; promote illegal activity, street racing, or reckless riding; share content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringing; scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service; or use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including removing content, suspending accounts, or reporting activity to law enforcement.

You retain ownership of content you submit through the Service, including profile information, chat messages, and ride details. By submitting content, you grant Active Machines Corp. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the right to share any content you submit and that your content does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a safety or legal risk, with or without notice.

The Tribes name, logo, website, app design, and all related content (excluding user content) are owned by Active Machines Corp. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

You may not use the Tribes brand or trademarks in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our consent.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting hello@tribes.zone.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violations of these Terms or conduct that we believe endangers other users or the integrity of the platform.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Active Machines Corp. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or participation in any ride.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Active Machines Corp. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your participation in rides, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be specified], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of [jurisdiction to be specified], unless applicable law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

Before filing a formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us at hello@tribes.zone so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
